29 June – A meeting for discussion of the current situation in the Church of Scotland took place on Monday 29th June in Kinmylies Church, Inverness. A total of 131 were present, from all parts of Scotland, of whom 90 were ministers. A further 45 apologies were received from ministers unable to be present. We had nine full hours together, gathering for lunch at 1pm, meeting from 2.00-5.00pm, before sharing a meal and then running through in the evening, without a break, from 7.00-10.00pm. We agreed at the end that it is good to have time like this where we meet and talk and sing and pray, and we therefore resolved to meet again. Information about further open meetings will be posted in due course.

6 July – Some members of the current Steering Group were invited to attend the launch of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (UK) at Westminster Central Hall in London on July 6th 2009. It was an inspiring day, with excellent contributions from churchmen of great stature from all around the world, and very encouraging to sense that we stand together with those from so many different denominations who stand for the orthodox gospel against the rising tide of apostasy in western churches today. We were grateful for the fellowship extended to Confessing Churches in the Church of Scotland at this time.
