Can our Church join the Fellowship?

Full Fellowship Membership  Associate Fellowship Membership
is open to any Church of Scotland congregation which is committed to the Confessing Churches Covenant and to the Fellowship’s Key Aims is open to any non-Church of Scotland congregation/fellowship/presbytery/grouping/denomination etc likewise committed to our aims and beliefs, and wishing to stand in solidarity with us.

 

How do we go about joining?

Full membership is confirmed in the following way:

  1. Email us at this address info@confessingchurch.org.uk
  2. We will send you an application form, plus 2 good quality copies of the Covenant document, and a copy of the Key Aims of the Fellowship.
  3. Following a resolution of your Kirk Session, The Moderator and Session Clerk must sign these two copies of the document. 
  4. These should be returned to The Secretary of the Fellowship along with a valid extract minute from the meeting of the Kirk Session at which membership of the FoCC was agreed, and a one-off fee of £50
  5. One copy will be validated and returned to you, should be properly framed, and must be displayed prominently in a public area of your church building. (You may also wish to display the Key Aims of the Fellowship.) Your congregation’s name will then be displayed in the membership list on the Confessing Churches website.
  6. The other copy will be kept and filed along with the application form and extract minute.

 

Associate membership

  1. Email us at info@confessingchurch.org.uk.
  2. We will send you an application form, asking details of your congregation or grouping/denomination, and signatures as appropriate.
  3. These should be returned to the The Secretary of the Fellowship
  4. We will send you a document confirming associate membership of our Fellowship, and your name will be displayed on the FCC website in the Associate Members section.
